- The turkey. The turkey is the centerpiece of your dinner, so it needs to be perfect. With an outdoor smoker, you can have a delicious turkey that’s moist and tender, sure to impress your guests. Just set it up according to the smoker’s instructions, and in a few short hours you will have a beautiful bird. Most people who cook their turkeys this way swear they will never go back!
- Vegetables. Grilled vegetables are appetizing and delicious. Onions, asparagus, squash, and corn all grill beautifully and will double as a table decoration with their lovely colors and grill marks. For smaller pieces, you can always use a grill basket. Drizzle the vegetables with a little balsamic before serving and they will rival the turkey as everyone’s favorite!
- Potatoes. Potatoes cooked in a fire pit are mouth-watering and easy! Poke washed potatoes with a fork and wrap them in foil. After your fire is out, place the potatoes in the ashes for approximately 40 minutes. The foil keeps the moisture in, and they’ll be perfect for topping with butter and salt when they’re done!
- Dessert. Did you know that there are even recipes for cooking your apple pie on a grill? This will surely surprise your friends and family! Top it with some vanilla ice cream for the finishing touch on your outdoor dinner.
